Playtech’s iGaming content goes live with NorthStar Bets in Ontario


Game software development company playtech announced its launch in Ontario through its existing partnership with NorthStar Betswho will see Playtech’s IMS platform, casino and live casino technology offered to bettors in the Canadian province.

The strategic strategy of Playtech and NorthStar Bets partnership was announced earlier this yearunder an agreement under which the former has undertaken to provide software services to the latter. With the addition of Poker content later in 2022Playtech will provide NorthStar Bets with its full suite of technology products “to deliver one of the best online casino and sports betting experiences in Ontario,” according to a press release.

NorthStar Bets is an Ontario-based brand that aims to provide players with “a unique, local premium user experience on their casino gaming and sports betting platform”. It’s owned by NorthStar Gaming, which also announced ad creative for the product last month, as part of a launch campaign titled “It’s a Win.”

The partnership was announced several months before Ontario opened its regulated online gambling market on April 4, which was the culmination of three years of workfollowing the announcement that the province was ending the lottery’s legal monopoly on online gambling in 2019.

Playtech launched with multiple partnerships in Ontario first day with RNG Casino and Live, quickly followed by the full platform.
