GLMS Joins Ontario as First Integrity Organization – Casino Reports


This week, Ontario welcomes another gaming entity to its newly regulated online sports betting and casino market. The Global Lottery Monitoring System has now made its way into the jurisdiction after its application was approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Through registration, the Association will support the OLG in its sports betting integrity efforts.

GLMS is a non-profit organization that defends and fights for the integrity of sports betting while fighting against the manipulation of sports competitions. The company received its regulatory approval from the provincial regulator on April 3, 2022, just one day before the market officially opened. Thus, helping to protect the integrity of sports betting in the region.

Working for a safer market

With its Ontario license, GLMS will continue to support its member, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, and its sports betting integrity activity in the new market. The association does not offer sports betting or lottery vertical markets, but rather the entity provides its members, like the crown corporation, with various services, including monitoring and education services.

Through its services, the association strives to make known and fight against manipulation sports games. Therefore, supporting cross-jurisdictional and cross-actor cooperation activities to help address the global problem. So far, GLMS and AGCO have enjoyed seamless cooperation, and the organization has provided its views to the regulator, to develop the Registrar’s standards for gaming.

Lori Sullivan, Manager of Institutional Gaming and Business Development for the OLG, who is also member of the executive committee of GLMS, said the Crown is proud to work with the association. According to her, the OLG is more than happy to work with GLMS and its partners to ensure a safe and secure marketplace for online and retail sports.

GLMS President Ludovico Calvi said he is proud that the association has become one of the first registered integrity entities to acquire an Ontario license from the AGCO. In his words, the organization has been a major lawyer for a regulated, responsible and sustainable betting environment, as prohibitions have prevented the proliferation of black markets, criminal organizations and game fixing.
