Drug dealer on the run from an open prison


A convicted drug dealer fled an open prison.

Robert Shannon Smith departed HMP Sudbury, near Uttoxeter, on Friday November 5th.

The 28-year-old was convicted in Wolverhampton Crown Court in June 2016 for producing and supplying cannabis, supplying cocaine and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is described as white, 6 feet 1 inches tall and with blue eyes, dark brown hair and a full beard.

He has ties to Birmingham and the West Midlands, including Solihull and Redditch, and he previously lived in Nottinghamshire.
